Do you love your job? I don’t know about you, but I love working. Unfortunately statistics shows that most people don’t feel the same way. In fact, I’ve read one statistic recently that suggested that 16% of people would leave their job tomorrow if they could (that is somewhat a depressing thought).
I love what the Old Testament says about work, “So I saw that there is nothing better to people than to be happy in their work.” – Ecclesiastes 3:22
That is why we are here, no one will bring us back from death if we enjoy life after we die. I love how the word of God just keeps such clarity and wisdom to a situation.
Over the years I’ve witnessed so many friends pulling to jobs that they have disliked. They thought it would be a good start to their way up, but then they get trapped. They are on a treadmill, often a path that leads to financial success but not one that leads to joy in their work or fulfillment in life.
So if you feel this way maybe it’s time for a change. God has given each of us an assignment in this life, and that assignment may or may not be tied to your job.
Whatever it is that you feel called to do, don’t let the wrong job hold you back.
If you don’t feel that you are in the right place, ask God!
“God what is your will for my working life. What work would you have me do? Where can I best serve you?” Mark my word, He will answer.
When you are where God wants you to be, that is where you’ll be making the most impact in His kingdom.
